The band

Letz Zep

Letz Zep are internationally recognised as the number one tribute to Led Zeppelin, and they ain't foolin'. When Robert Plant saw vocalist Billy Kulke he said "I walked in, I saw me". Jimmy Page told guitarist Andy Gray "that was ambitious but you pulled it off", and Led Zeppelin's manager Peter Grant once called bassist Toby Sadler "the new John Paul Jones". Ticketmaster have named them the most popular and most highly rated tribute to Led Zeppelin. A truly international band, Letz Zep have played six of the world's seven continents (Antarctica is still pending), touring Europe, the UK, South America and Australia. There can be no closer proximity to the Led Zeppelin experience.

Line-up

Billy Kulke

Billy Kulke

vocals

'I walked in, I saw me' is the comment by Robert Plant himself on seeing Billy perform. Billy had great success in the 80s and 90s with his own original bands, touring with Ozzy Osbourne, Roger Daltrey and Uriah Heep. in fact it was Ozzy himself who suggested Billy take up lead vocal after hearing him sing at soundcheck on his 'No Rest for the Wicked' Tour. Billy also sang Orchestral Zeppelin with the full 65 piece Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra in New Zealand after a world wide search for the right vocalist to front this fantastic project. also the author of 2 books, which displays his sense of humour as he tells the story of how Letz Zep started from humble beginning on the London pub circuit, to performing on the biggest stages in the world. In the 90's Billy also recorded with musicians such as Neil Murray - Whitesnake, Scott Gorham - Thin Lizzy and Don Airey - Deep Purple. 'Billy Kulke commands the stage like the king of the sun' St Avold - France. The man is insane, the same lions mane as Robert Plant. He has also internalised the habitus of his idol like no other, just like the original, a lot of Eros, sometimes androgynous, sometime full of testosterone. He Lures the fans, he flirts, he hold the mic like it's his most valuable possession, he almost kisses it. Like a magician, he commands the stage. Every gesture fits perfectly, every blink of the eye. Sometimes he drops the diva and a blissful smile sweeps his face. The man is in his role, he can sing, no question, his voice is made for the music of the legendary Led Zeppelin. - Regine Beddeke How perfect the voice of Kulke is becomes apparent with the very big hits such as Kashmir, Stairway to Heaven and Whole Lotta Love. - Time For Metal mag. Simple more Robert than Robert - Nikki Brooks, Hard Roxxx Mag The singer even has an authentic hosepipe down his trousers - Jeremy Clarckson - The Sunday Times Billy Kulke is Robert Plant - Blues Magazine Billy Kulke also showed what incredible vocal range he has mastered..... Toby Sadler

Toby Sadler

Toby Sadler We are very fortunate to have the talents and experience of Toby in Letz Zep 'The New John Paul Jones' is how Toby was described by Legendary Led Zeppelin manager Peter Grant. When Toby played bass and keyboards with Jason Bonham This band toured with Def Leppard and as support to Queen on their 'The Works' tour. Toby also played with Janick Gers (Iron Maiden) and Brian Howe (Bad Company) in White Spirit and also some recording work with Ian Gillan (Deep Purple) Toby also supported Motley Crue at the 17,000 seater Palais Omnisport When Robert Plant himself attended a show by Letz Zep he commented upon the difficulty in replicating the demanding role of John Paul Jones Toby brings his wealth of experience and talent to the Letz Zep live performance. And he does it effortlessly, Jake is well on the way to becoming a giant'' Jake performs on the classic Vistalite Drum Kit, identical to the one used by Bonham in The Song Remains the Same. to capture the authentic Zeppelin sound.
